Design Template License

Please note: This license information is for design templates only. Please see section 1.3 for our website template license information.

Our design templates are available for purchase under the following license terms:

- Templates are for unlimited use for one individual, the purchaser, or for one company with up to 15 users.

- The license is non-exclusive, allowing multiple buyers to purchase the same template.

- You may not re-sell, duplicate, lease, license, sub-license, or offer the item for free or to any third party.

- The Licensee shall not repurpose the templates, content, copy or educational content to create derivative works or use them as a foundation for creating their own competing products for sale. Such actions are strictly prohibited and could result in legal action. The Licensor monitors for such repurposing activities.

- No physical item will be shipped; all purchases are digital downloads.


Legal Responsibilities

We hold no responsibility for ensuring that customers fulfill their legal obligations concerning templates. Any images, written content, or legal materials presented within the templates are beyond our liability.

The structural and functional aspects of your website are governed by Squarespace's platform. Our templates exclusively pertain to the visual aspect, defining the look and feel of your site. We are not responsible for any consequences that may arise from replacing or modifying your current website. Squarespace Template Installation

Upon purchasing a website template, you will be prompted to provide your email address. Within 48 business hours (Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm UK time, excluding bank holidays), you will receive an invitation to access your new Squarespace 7.1 website template in your inbox. It is imperative to ensure accurate submission of your email address, as we cannot be held accountable for issues arising from incorrect information.

Kindly note that the template pages are precisely as displayed in the linked demo on the relevant product page, with images replaced by generic placeholders. The responsibility lies with you to populate the template pages with your own content, text, images, and other brand elements.

Our templates are constructed as design kits and, therefore, cannot be transferred or applied to another site. Subsequent application to an additional or existing Squarespace site is not possible.


Existing Site Installation

Squarespace 7.1

For those possessing an existing Squarespace 7.1 template, our installation service can be added at checkout for an additional fee. This service requires an active Squarespace 7.1 business plan or a higher tier plan, not the personal plan.

You will be requested to invite us as a contributor to your website. The 48-hour installation period will commence only after we have accepted your invitation.

During this process, your site will be set to password-protected status. It's important to note that any reduction in visitors or enquiries during this period is beyond our responsibility and control.

Once the invitation is accepted, we will migrate all your current pages and content to an archived folder within the template. Due to the style of our template, we are unable to preserve your header or footer styles. Our own CSS and javascript code will be integrated into your site, replacing any existing outdated code.

Design style settings will be adjusted to match the demo site. This will impact elements such as fonts, colours, header styles, logos, and animations. While your content won't be altered, the changes will give your current pages a different appearance due to the style modifications.

We understand that our website installation service involves replacing your current site with the newly purchased template. While we strive to ensure a smooth transition, it's essential to recognise that significant changes will occur to your existing site. Once the new template is installed, your previous site's design, and functionality will be replaced.

We strongly recommend creating backups of your existing site before proceeding with the installation to safeguard against any unexpected issues, as Casa Ren Studio are not responsible for backing up your website or replacing our template with your current website if you should decide to want it back. Our installation service is designed to implement the new template, and any subsequent modifications or restoration of your original site would require separate action and expertise.

We encourage you to carefully consider the decision to replace your current site with the new template, as our service is tailored to implementing the purchased design rather than preserving or reverting to your prior site. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we're here to address any questions or concerns you may have before proceeding.

By opting for this service, you will receive our placeholder website template, mirroring the demo. Please note that this service does not, under any circumstances, encompass content addition or customisation on your behalf. This includes elements like colours, logos, copy, text, links, and images. The responsibility to add and customise these elements lies with you, aided by our educational platform. We do offer 30 days of friendly e-mail support, to guide you through the process, but customisation is not done for you as part of the template or installation sale.

Finally, it's important to understand that our templates are not transferrable to another Squarespace website. Once applied, they remain specific to the site of installation.


Installation and Coverage

Please note that installation service is solely applicable to Squarespace 7.1 websites. Our templates cannot be utilised with Squarespace 7.0 or earlier versions.

Installation does not include:

- Any form of customisation, regardless of type.

- Revisions or alterations beyond the existing template structure.

- Any components not already present within the template.

- SEO enhancements – our guidance is limited to showing you how to do this, but we cannot implement it for you or guarantee results.

- Social media linkage.

- Domain connection or acquisition.

- Design services or copywriting.

- E-commerce setup or payment configuration.

- Email marketing setup.

- Custom coding or development beyond the template's existing elements.

- Ongoing website maintenance.

- Free email support beyond the initial 30 days.

- Modification of the template beyond email support.

- Responsibility and amendments

We cannot be held accountable for any errors you make during the template editing process, and regrettably, we are unable to rectify these for you within the editor - we can only advise via e-mail on how to potentially fix these issues. We are unable to go into your template and make changes for you as part of your template package, we can only advise over e-mail support. Should you choose to modify any code, the responsibility to manage and adjust it lies solely with you.

Feature Compatibility Disclaimer

When purchasing a website template from us, we strive to provide comprehensive and feature-rich designs. However, it's important to note that the availability of specific features within both Squarespace and the template itself may vary.

What You'll Receive

Upon purchase, we will replicate the template exactly as showcased in our demo site, bar the template including basic placeholders in place of images which are for illustrative purposes. We do, however, provide a guide suggesting sources for downloading free stock images akin to those presented in the template, which you can add yourself.

By procuring our templates, you acknowledge that they are intended for DIY customisation. You are responsible for infusing the template pages with your content, text, images, and other branding elements. Your template investment is geared towards enhancing your creative expression.


Squarespace Invitation

It is the buyer's responsibility to verify receipt of the email invitation within 48 hours of the purchase. Should this time frame elapse without receiving the email invitation, the buyer must promptly contact us via email to request the issuance of a new email invitation.

In the event that the buyer has not accepted the email invitation or has not requested a new one within 30 days of purchase, we will consider the design to be delivered. Consequently, no further email invitation requests or refunds will be entertained. It is essential for the buyer to proactively engage within this time frame to ensure timely access to the purchased design.


Website Template Copyright

All copyrights related to the design of the Squarespace template are vested solely in our ownership. This includes the intricate components and creative elements that constitute the visual essence of the template. It is important to clarify that while the website is hosted on the Squarespace platform, the distinctive design of the template remains under our exclusive ownership.

Preservation of Design Ownership

The purchaser is expressly forbidden from duplicating, sharing or re-selling the template beyond its individual application. Any actions extending to distribution, sale, or public presentation of the template's design, whether in part or in its entirety, are prohibited. This safeguarding of design originality ensures its continued value.

Honouring Copyright

By acquiring the Squarespace template, the purchaser acknowledges and agrees to uphold the copyright ownership of the design. Unauthorised replication or dissemination of the design is strictly proscribed. This protection upholds the distinctiveness of each template, contributing to its value as a premium design product.

Website Template Updates

Our templates are sold in their existing state, as seen during the time of purchase. While we are committed to delivering high-quality templates, we want to clarify our stance on updates.

It's important to note that if a new version of the template is developed subsequent to your purchase, we are not obligated to reinstall it on your website or offer it for you with a discount. The template you receive is considered complete at the time of purchase, and any future versions may not be automatically applicable to your existing site.

Additionally, we cannot guarantee lifetime updates for our templates. The availability of updates, if any, will be determined by various factors including design evolution, technological advancements, and market trends.

We advise our customers to keep an eye on any potential updates or new releases through our official communication channels. If updates are offered, they may be subject to separate terms and conditions.

Website Post-Installation Responsibility

Upon the completion of template installation, our involvement concludes, and the service is deemed fulfilled. It's crucial to comprehend the responsibilities that fall to the buyer following installation.

Once installed, the template becomes the property of the buyer, tailored to their initial specifications. Subsequently, the onus rests upon the buyer to undertake necessary actions to align the template with their precise requirements.

This entails upgrading any trial site to a full version, adjusting domain settings to reflect the buyer's brand identity, and refining SEO components to enhance the website's discoverability. Financial implications linked to the Squarespace account, including subscription fees, are also the responsibility of the buyer. Keeping the Squarespace account up-to-date and in a satisfactory condition is imperative for the site's optimal functioning.

Additionally, the buyer is responsible for any customisation needs beyond the initial installation. This encompasses content integration, personalised design refinements, and overall enhancement of the site's visual appeal.

We strongly advise buyers to meticulously manage their Squarespace account, ensuring its continued validity and optimal performance. While we are committed to delivering an exceptional template and installation service, once the template installation is complete, its maintenance and evolution rest squarely with the buyer.

Website Template Support

For a period of 30 days starting from the day of purchase, we offer friendly email support to assist you. This support includes the following:

- Guidance on customisation: We're here to offer advice and assistance with regards to customising your purchased template.

However, please be aware that our support service does not encompass the following:

- Squarespace advice/problems: Any issues or inquiries related to Squarespace's platform should be directed to Squarespace's official support channels.

- Additional code or template modifications: We cannot provide assistance with adding extra code or making modifications to the template beyond its original design.

- Hosting, domains, email: Matters concerning hosting, domains, or email services are beyond the scope of our support. We advise you in our help platform of how to do this, but we cannot take responsibility or do this sevice for you.

- Software or hosting issues: Any problems tied to software or hosting services are outside our support's coverage.

- Coding questions: Enquiries pertaining to coding in general are not within the purview of our support.

- Re-installation of any kind: Re-installing the template, whether on the same site or a different one, is not part of our support offering.

Squarespace Updates

It's important to recognise that Squarespace's platform can undergo changes at any time. Consequently, we cannot offersupport for templates built on older versions of Squarespace. It's recommended to stay updated with Squarespace's platform changes and our available templates to ensure optimal compatibility and support.



Website Template License

Upon purchasing our website template, the buyer is granted a non-exclusive, single-seat license for its use. This license is valid for a single website only. The template and its associated materials, including design elements, graphics, and content, remain the property of the template's creators.

The following conditions apply to this license:

Single Website Use: Each template purchase permits its use for a singular website project.

Non-Duplication: The template, in part or whole, cannot be duplicated, copied, or reproduced for use on additional websites.

Non-Resale: The template, in any form, cannot be resold, shared, or distributed to third parties. This includes sharing the template's original files or modified versions.

Non-Claiming: Buyers cannot claim the template or its design as their own creation, irrespective of modifications made.

Non-exclusive - Others will buy the same website template as you.
